According to reports in the Daily Mail, Tottenham Hotspur manager Mauricio Pochettino is ready to give Vincent Janssen one last chance to impress following a difficult first season with the club.
Hopes were high that the Netherlands international would make a big impression following his £17m move to White Hart Lane from Dutch side AZ Alkmaar last summer, but the majority of the 23-year-old’s 38 appearances in all competitions came from substitutes’ bench.
The centre-forward scored just six goals in total with just two of those – one a penalty – coming in 27 Premier League outings, as he failed to provide the required competition for Harry Kane.
Tottenham supporters were quick to have their say on the rumour via social media, and they were divided with their opinions.
While some believe it is the “right decision” and that he deserves another opportunity, others feel that he is just another Roberto Soldado and won’t make it for the north London outfit.
