Fernando Torres has spoken this week about his future, and Newcastle fans have been voting whether the Liverpool legend should move to Tyneside.
Rafael Benitez’s Magpies are absolutely flying. The Toon Army have won their last four Premier League games, and picked up a whopping 16 points from their last seven matches.
Despite the incredible turnaround on Tyneside though, they are still a side that is short of goals.
The fantastic form of Ayoze Perez has helped in this regard, and Islam Slimani has looked promising in his brief cameos since his return from injury, but Benitez’s organisation can only get them so far.
Last week, Newcastle were named the bookmakers’ favourites to land Torres after the Spaniard announced he would not renew his Atletico Madrid contract when it runs out this summer. The former Liverpool and Chelsea man has now spoken out about his future.

“I have not made the decision. I will say it as I have said: that I leave Atletico,” the 34 year-old told Spanish radio station Cadena SER.
“I will not continue in Spain. Europe? I don’t know. One has an idea that can then change.”
Torres has 38 goals in 110 international games for Spain, and it sounds like he is still waiting for a club to convince him.
