After their 5-1 humiliation at the hands of Liverpool, Arsenal got back to winning ways on New Year’s Day with a 4-1 hammering of Fulham at the Emirates Stadium.
Unai Emery named an aggressive starting line up, with both Alexandre Lacazette and Pierre-Emerick Aubameyang starting for the Gunners. Both strikers ultimately got on the scoresheet too.

Aubameyang’s strike took him back to the top of the Premier League goalscoring charts, whilst Lacazette’s well-taken finish marked the Frenchman’s first goal in the league since he netted against Tottenham Hotspur on December 2nd.
Despite having scored and played well, Lacazette was substituted off by Emery in the second half. The decision to remove the 27-year-old was met with boos from a section of the home crowd. However, Emery and Lacazette will have been pleased enough with the contribution he made in his time on the field.
