According to results from our recent poll, the majority of Crystal Palace fans would back a move for Southampton’s Manolo Gabbiadini – the Italian has fallen out of favour at St Mary’s and will be allowed to leave this summer.
Following the arrival of Danny Ings in the summer, the 27-year-old has slipped down the pecking order and has been limited to 470 minutes of Premier League action this term, scoring just once.
Like the former Napoli man, Palace themselves are struggling to find the net and, for all the chances they create, lack a goal-scoring touch – while Gabbiadini’s stats this campaign don’t exactly make for impressive reading, he has shown, particularly in his debut season in the Premier League, that he can be a very dangerous striker.

Since our poll was published, the left-footer has been subject to a loan offer with an obligation to buy from Sampdoria but it may not be too late for the Eagles; we suggested that the Croydon outfit move for the outcast in the hope that he can have the same instant impact he did on his arrival in England after they lost out on Dominic Solanke.
It turns out that 68% of Palace fans agree with us, as they voted in favour of signing Gabbiadini – you can check out the full results of our poll below…
