Harry Kane has overcome an injury scare to be named in Bayern Munich's starting XI against Aston Villa in the Champions League on Wednesday.

The striker sustained an injury in his team's 1-1 draw with Bayer Leverkusen at the weekend, sparking fears he could be out for the midweek clash at Villa Park. Although Kane trained in the days before the game, coach Vincent Kompany said he would be assessed further.

Kane has since been cleared to start Wednesday's clash at Villa Park and Kompany has named him in the starting XI. The inclusion of the England international is a big boost for the German giants given he has scored 10 goals in just seven games this season.
