Controversial teenager and formerÂLiverpoolÂyouthÂplayer Bobby Duncan isÂreportedly linked to aÂmove to the Championship.
The 19-year-old attacker left his boyhood team last year after a spat between him and the club ended sourly. Duncan’s former agent Saif Rubie released a statement prior to his move last summer, accusing Liverpool of ‘mentally bullying’ the teenager.
After the uproar, the teenager moved to Fiorentina, but now looks set to leave the Serie A outfit.
According to Fiorentinanews.com (relayed via @LFCTransferRoom), things haven’t gone Duncan’s way over in Italy and the club are looking to offload him. Brentford are reportedly interested in signing him.
The striker, who is the cousin of Steven Gerrard, could have followed in the legend’s footsteps after enjoying a superb youth career. Duncan scored 23 goals in 26 U18 appearances and appeared six times for the reserve team (via Transfermarkt). However, now he must look to climb the ladder elsewhere.
Fans have responded to the news and many are feeling smug about the outcome after he snubbed Liverpool last year. One supporter has slammed Rubie and has claimed he ‘ruined his career’.
